Main duties of the job

You will be involved in the full range of general practice nursing, including:

  • Management of long-term conditions (especially asthma and COPD)
  • Cervical cytology
  • Childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations
  • Wound care and dressings
  • Health promotion and lifestyle advice
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Working closely with GPs, HCAs, and the wider multidisciplinary team

  • 11,280 registered patients (with growth expected)
  • 5 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, and 2 Retained GPs
  • 4 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs, 1 Phlebotomist
  • Full ARRS and PCN support including clinical pharmacists and care coordinators
  • An outstanding administration and reception team

  • Committed to providing high standards of patient care
  • Sound clinical judgment and awareness of own limitations

Desirable

  • Respiratory care skills
  • Family planning qualifications
  • Teaching or mentorship experience
  • Familiarity with clinical governance and quality initiatives
