Job summary
Luson Surgery, Wellington, Somerset TA21 8AG.
Part-Time GP Receptionist.
Full training is provided.
Between 20 and 23 hours per week plus holiday & sickness cover.
Total hours to be confirmed.
There is a requirement to work outside of surgery hours from 6.30pm until 8pm two evenings per week.
Salary dependent on experience.
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the receptionist role:
- Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
- Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls, transfer calls or deal with the callers request appropriately
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations
- Input data into the patients healthcare records
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.

- Computer literate

- Qualified in Phlebotomy (not essential as full training will be provided).
