Assistant Practice Manager Claremont Clinic

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Practice Manager to join our friendly and forward-thinking GP surgery.
Are you an organised, motivated, and experienced in healthcare management, and already working in this role? Previous experience in a healthcare or GP practice setting. Minimum experience of two years is essential.

As our Assistant Practice Manager, you'll support the Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the surgery, ensuring smooth operations and the highest standard of care for our patients. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines administrative efficiency with people management and patient service.
Main duties of the job
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 10am-6pm inclusive of 30 mins unpaid lunchbreak
Flexibility: Some flexibility is required to accommodate additional or alternative hours to cover colleagues during annual/sickness leave.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of clinical and non-clinical staff
- Oversee administrative systems, procedures, and patient services
- Assist with rotas, recruitment, training, and HR processes
- Write and update practice policies and procedures
- Liaise with patients, staff, and external healthcare professionals
- Contribute to compliance with CQC standards and practice policies
- Strong administrative and IT skills, proficiency in use of EMIS, AgilioTeamNet, NHS ICT systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A proactive, flexible, and supportive team player

Claremont Clinic has been providing care to our community in Forest Gate and the surrounding area since 1951. We have over 12300 registered patients and our premises have recently been fully refurbished. We are well rated by our pateints achieving 4.4 stars in our Google Reviews.
