Wetmore Road Surgery has an exciting opportunity to join our
friendly, hardworking and patient focused practice within the Staffordshire
town of Burton on Trent. We are looking
for a team player with the enthusiasm to make a difference to primary care.
Wetmore Road Surgery is a training practice and currently
has 6 Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 2 ANPs 1 Physicians associate, 2 Pharmacists,
5 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, 1 HCA and 2 Community Support Nurses. The
practice also benefits from an attached community midwife, social prescriber,
counsellor, community matron and care coordinator. The entire clinical team is
supported by an excellent Management team and fully staffed admin and reception
teams allowing us to provide excellent patient care.
To complement our team, we are looking for a GP to join us
for 4 to 8 sessions per week as a Salaried GP with a view to Partnership.
Our clinical set up is different to many other surgeries and our Supporting GP role takes away many of the additional administration tasks such as Docman and script signing, to allow our other GPs to focus on direct patient care. As we have 2 excellent ANPs, we allow our GPs more time to deal with those patients who have more complex issues.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated GP to join our team to focus
on patient centred care. You will be very well supported, and the post-holder
will be expected to undertake all normal duties, making professional and
autonomous decisions and all responsibilities associated with working as a GP
in primary care.
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team

About us
Wetmore Road Surgery is a long established town practice in
the Staffordshire Brewery town of Burton on Trent. We have a list size of 12500
operating from a single site, in a purpose-built building. We were rated as
Good with CQC in 2018 and consistently achieve high QOF points. We have weekly
CPD meetings, monthly half day closure PLTs, which alternate between in-house
and locality based. An on-going approach has enabled us to tailor our processes
in various aspects of the everyday running of the practice with the best
interests of both the patients and clinicians. Our experienced reception and
admin teams work exceptionally hard directing patients to the most appropriate
care ensuring they are seen by the most suitable health care professional first
time.

3.Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance

22.Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
