Sandy Health Centre is a medium sized teaching practice, based in the centre of Sandy, we offer plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your skills. Main duties of the job
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and patient facing duties with the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team in providing an outstanding service to our patients. Duties can include but are not limited to, acting as a central point of contact in greeting and directing patients, patient registration, booking appointments, in various care settings, processing of information (electronic and hard copy), clinical coding, prescription queries, test results, and assisting patients as required. liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
About us
Sandy Health Centre located in Sandy Bedfordshire is a purpose built building looking after patients in the town and surrounding villages. We have circa 9,500 patients.
Our clinical team consists of 5 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 physician associate, 1 Paramedic Practitioner, 1 advanced nurse practitioner, 2 nurses, 3 HCA's and phlebotomists. The clinical team is supported by a good admin team and dispensary staff. We also work closely with the PCN staff, who support our team and patients, as part of Sandhills PCN which covers 3 practices 2 in Sandy and 1 in Biggleswade working closely with each other to improve patient care.
We work well as a team to offer excellent medical care to our patients and to support each during the working day.
