Job summary
We are looking for a new Patient Advisor to work within our busy GP Surgery. This is a part time position for 26.5 hours per week. Working days will be Monday, 8.30- 6.00 Tuesday, 8.30 - 6.30 and Friday 8.30 - 6.30
We will be interviewing w/c 23rd June 2025
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job / job description -
Deal with patient enquiries, on the phone and face to face, making
appointments as necessary
Signpost calls to various internal/external roles within the PCN, be
confident in your ability to signpost (with appropriate training)
Carry out requests for repeat prescriptions.
Complete the appropriate paperwork for all new patient registrations
ensuring that all information is clear and accurate to prevent delays in
registering.
Follow the procedures for opening and closing the surgery.
Assist with tasks such as assigning electronic results to GPs,
monitoring them and actioning any requests made by the GPs within appropriate
timescales.
Check the Surgery email on a regular basis to ensure any requests are
quickly picked up and actioned accordingly.
Incoming post to be opened and scanned/filed into patient computer
records using the DOCMAN system.
Register patients for on-line appointment bookings.
To undertake any other tasks/duties as determined by the Doctors or
Practice Manager in accordance with this grade of post.
