Job summary

Salaried GP with a view to Partnership, 6-8 sessions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and pro-active Salaried GP to join our existing team of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Nurses and Emergency Care Practitioners at St James Medical Practice.We are;

Main duties of the job

As part of our thriving team of GP's you will be responsible for;

  • The provision of PMS Services to the Practice population
  • Effective clinical administartion, audit & Management
  • Contributing to the practice team through effective communication, teamwork and dedication

We are looking for someone with:

  • A high standard of clinical care
  • The motivation to continuously improve practice

About us

We are a well-established town centre practice with a patient population of over 17,000 who also run a JAG accredited community based endoscopy unit. We are currently having a new purpose built practice with a completion date of early 2023.

We are a training practice with an excellent pass rate for our registrars; in addition we also provide placements for Cambridge medical students. We would welcome GPs with an interest in becoming a Partner in the future.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.

Undertake all the duties associated with the role of a General Practitioner required by the PMS contract.

2.

Responsible for own dedicated patient list.

3.

Comply with all the objectives of the PMS Contract.

4.

Support and contribute to the development of Practice clinical procedures and protocols.

5.

Accurate and timely input of patient data onto the clinical system.

6.

Carrying out clinical audit as appropriate.

7.

Completion of reports for solicitors, insurance companies and others.

8.

Liaise with other health care professionals when required.

9.

Act in a way that protects the confidentiality of patients and maintains the integrity of the patient / Practice relationship.

10.

Take an active role and contribute to Practice meetings.

11.

Take on Lead responsibilities in any agreed area of Practice management.

12.

Support the development and compliance of the Practice Health and Safety policy.

14.

Participate in the GP appraisal scheme.

15.

Attend Practice training sessions whenever possible.

16.

Maintain medical currency in line with your Personal Development Plan.

17.

Contribute to the development and improvement of the Practice.

18.

Work safely at all times in accordance with Legislative requirements and Practice Policy and Procedures.
