Job summary

Working as part of the Care Navigation/Reception team in a super busy environment. Greeting patients, helping patients to make appointments, processing prescriptions, assist patients with any general enquiries.

Working on front reception desk, meeting and greeting patients

Processing repeat prescriptions

With a dedicated GP and Nursing team, fully supported by our Reception and Administration Teams.

Job responsibilities

Booking appointments with a variety of clinicians and Allied Health Professionals

Processing registrations

Processing medication requests

Creating test request forms under instruction from clinicians while following Practice protocols

Chaperone for clinicians when the HealthCare Assistant is not available

Providing front-of-house reception services to patients, checking in patients and answering/resolving queries as needed both in-person and over the phone

Dealing with inbound and outbound post as required

Updating patient records as required

Experience

Essential

  • Although GP practice experience is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be given.
  • However, previous experience working in a customer facing role is essential.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a GP Practice is desirable.
