Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance Officer to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the practice. This is a key role supporting the Partners, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and compliance with NHS and regulatory requirements.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day financial transactions, including income and expenditure
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
  • Payroll processing and liaison with external payroll providers
  • Invoicing, payment runs, and credit control
  • Supporting budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and financial forecasting
  • Preparing financial reports for Partners
  • Liaising with accountants, banks, commissioners, and external bodies
  • Ensuring compliance with NHS financial requirements and internal procedures
