Process
Lab reports as per the written protocol.
Carry out initial investigations if results not received. Reporting any further problems to Business
Support Manager

Process
out of hours and NHS 111 reports.

Enter
cause of death as required

Temporary Resident Forms scanning or
adding information received from other practices onto the practice computer
system.

Support
the practice team by entering codes from hospital letters onto the clinical
system. Check patient records to make
sure problems are coded correctly. Work to guidelines to assist the practice in
meeting data entry requirements for the Quality and Outcomes Framework. Code patient requests for opting out of the summary care record.

Action
and complete EMIS, Patchs and Docman tasks as appropriate; chasing results,
reports and appointments as required

Check
the shared Garden Lane NHS mail address for 111 reports and child safeguarding
letters.

Lexacom
typing of referral templates, letters and other documents

Generate
new referrals using the e-Referral System, process as required and deal with
any patient queries in this respect

Process
telephone enquiries from Practice staff, patients, hospital staff and other
outside Agencies

Process
e-mail enquiries from Practice staff, patients, ICB and outside Agencies

Prepare
own outgoing post and leave in franking tray

Work
through E-RS Worklist ensuring all referrals are actioned and queries responded
to in a timely manner

Process
any Subject Access requests and maintain protocol within the practice

Maintain
and manage referral templates as required

Update
patients records with clear, precise notes

Organise
own workload and work under indirect supervision.

Training
and Education:
Assist
with training and support for new and existing staff
Participate
in practice in-house training sessions, including mandatory training.
Keep
up to date with changes to protocols and procedures
Research
and Audit:
Participate
in Practice Audits as required
