Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an
enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our large and friendly
multidisciplinary team in fantastic purpose built premises in Garstang.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a qualified nurse to provide a full range of Treatment Room duties including: wound care, vaccination/immunisation (including childhood), phlebotomy, ECGs, BPs, health checks. Cervical cytology and pessary fitting would also be an advantage.We want friendly and personable candidates who have the communication skills, enthusiasm and aptitude to work alongside our existing experienced nursing team.

The hours are 32 hours per week:
Mon 8.00 13.00,Tues 8.00 18.00,Thurs 8.30 18.30, Friday 8.30 18.30, with flexibility desirable.

removal and wound dressings.
Vaccinations/Injections including child health
vaccinations.
NHS Health Checks
Chronic Disease Health Checks (prior to annual
review with CDM nurse)
Venepuncture
Ear Checks
BP checks
ECGs
Contraception reviews if/when trained
Hypertension reviews if/when trained
Cervical cytology if/when trained
Pessary fitting if/when trained
Assisting with practice compliance of infection
control.
Assisting with stock control for all treatment
room items
Fridge temperature monitoring and recording
Accurately recording all patient contacts in a
timely manner and adhering to and completing appropriate clinical templates as
per practice policy.
Any other duties within scope of practice,
appropriately delegated by a senior clinician.
