Primary
Care is constantly changing so if you are looking for the opportunity to join
our well-established Nursing Team, we are looking to recruit a part
time Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The successful candidate will be well
organised, flexible, enthusiastic and committed to working in a General Practice
environment.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 14th August 2025.
Main duties of the job
To
work as a member of the general practice nursing team, to support the
organisation and facilitation of clinical care in a holistic and proactive
manner. This role will involve acute on the day illness, chronic disease
management including diabetes and the possibility to support home visits and
care homes.

Our
practice is located in the market town of Kendal, on the edge of the Lake
District. We have a patient list size of around 11,500 patients. Our friendly
and motivated team has 5 GP Partners, 4 salaried GPs and an established Nursing
Team who are supported by a friendly and efficient Admin Team. We are active
participants in the Kendal Primary Care Network with multiple ARRS roles.

Working in accordance with the NMC Code of
Conduct the post holder will demonstrate courageous and
critical thinking and be a caring, compassionate and committed experienced
nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for
the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment,
diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
Applicants will demonstrate safe,
competent clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and
diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice. The post holder
will commit to demonstrating critical thinking in the safe clinical
decision-making process. They will communicate and work collaboratively with
the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the
delivery of policy and procedures.

of General Practice and the roles played by other members of the team needs to
be understood. The post holder will be
required to work autonomously but under the supervision of and in conjunction
with their line manager and GPs. The post holder will also be required to work
with clinical and administrative members of the Primary Health Care Team as
below. Good communication and supportive
relationships must be established and maintained with patients, colleagues and
employers.
