An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self motivated and hard working Deputy Practice Manager, who will work closely with the Practice Manager in continuing to develop and embrace new ways of working.
The applicant should be an excellent communicator and should be able to work efficiently as a team member and under own initiative.

Main duties of the job
To work efficiently as part of the management team, deputising as required in absence of Practice Manager.
Support the Practice Manager and team with CQC compliance and NHS governance.
Assist in complaints in line with practice policy
Daily and weekly equipment and facilities management responsibilities, ensuring regular checks are completed with diligent record keeping in line with Health and Safety compliance and guidelines and landlord contractual obligations.
Line management responsibilities for identified non-clinical staff
HR responsibilities for wider practice staff, to include recruitment, induction programmes and leavers.
Oversee staff training and record keeping, to include mandatory training.
Maintain personnel records of all staff, including DBS checks and annual self declaration, sickness and annual leave records
Work with Practice Manager to ensure implementation of all aspects of Employee Handbook.
Manage medical student process and inductions.
Oversee locum cover as required.
Ordering practice housekeeping supplies and non-clinical consumables. Raising invoices as required for private providers.
About us
New Barn Close Surgery is a dispensing GP surgery located in Broadway, Worcestershire, with 3 GP partners and 4 salaried GP's providing primary care services to approximately 8000 patients.
We are a training practice for Specialist Trainee GP doctors and have a rotating final year medical student from Birmingham University.
We moved into our new surgery in October 2021 which provides us with a modern purpose built building to meet all our patient and staff needs. We have ample free car parking for staff and patients, including electric car charging points.
We have a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, HCAs and phlebotomist's, dispensing staff, care-co-coordinator, administrative and reception staff.
We have an onsite dispensary which serves approximately 50% of our patients.
Our close-knit team is committed to offering high quality, safe and effective care with a focus on providing excellent patient access and continuity of care.
