We are looking for a part-time (16-24 hours a week) highly motivated, experienced Practice Nurse to join the
team.
Salary based on experience/skills.
Job Summary:-
Wound care / Ulcer care / Doppler / Compression / Removal of Sutures.
Adult and Childhood immunisations.
Cervical Smears.
Main duties of the job
Assessment and managment of acute and chronic wounds.
Form and regularly review care plans to promote healing.
Liaise with specialist and secondary care colleagues when appropriate.
Provide ongoing support and training to members of the nursing team to ensure high standards are shared and adhered to.

In addition to the above, we are looking for someone who can administer adult, child, and NHS travel immunisations.
Provide holistic health promotion including screening to targeted individuals and groups within the Practice. This will include cervical cytology, urinalysis, ECG and NHS health checks.
Possible monitoring of patients with known chronic disease, following practice protocols.
Clinical Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining high standards of care for patients and ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with recognised quality standards e.g., NICE guidance.
Provide nursing treatment, assessments, and screening to patients.
Be aware of and adhere to local Child Protection Procedures.
To be flexible in response to a varying caseload and Practice emergencies.
Advise patients on general health care, health education and minor ailments with referral to other team members of the primary health care team as necessary.
Maintain clear lines of accountability to manage any evidence of poor clinical practice.
To adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct.
Exercise awareness of professional responsibilities being familiar with current evidence and taking opportunities for personal development in line with Revalidation.
Access regular peer support and attend Primary Care Nurse Meetings.
To undertake research and assist in audit as necessary to own work.
Other tasks may include:
Cleaning of medical equipment used
Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of the treatment rooms
Restocking of treatment rooms
Assisting with the ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels
Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required.
Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
