Job summary
Betts Avenue Medical Centre requires a friendly and
enthusiastic HCA/NA to join our patient focused, caring and friendly GP Practice.
The HCA/NA will deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment,
preventative care, health promotion and patient education and support the
practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services.
Main duties of the job
A friendly personality, competent clinical skills, effective interpersonal skills together with an interest in further training.
The ability to work autonomously within a busy team environment is essential. The ideal candidate will ideally have
experience working within a General Practice environment.
The candidate will support the
nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of
the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of
practice. The healthcare assistant will
deliver and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative
care, health promotion, chronic disase management, stock management and patient education.

ABPM monitoring and recording
Phlebotomy
Spirometry
Chaperoning duties
Vaccine/cold chain storage,
monitoring and recording
Vaccine
and equipment re-stocking and stock rotation
Assist/undertake adult immunisations
Clearing and re-stocking
consulting rooms
Assisting in the assessment and
surveillance of patients health and well-being including health promotion. Provide lifestyle advice to patients and making any necessary referrals with the practice
Assessing patients with long term conditions which may include home visits.
