Job summary
Wyvern Health Primary Care Network incorporates
The Lawn Medical Centre, Old Town Surgery and Priory Road Medical Centre. The
PCN is based in Swindon supporting over 27,500 patients.
We are high performing practices with a strong ethos
of continuity of patient care, teamwork and peer support, we use SystmOne and
our most recent CQC rating was GOOD.
Priory Road Medical Centre is a registered
training practice with 2 GP trainers and within the PCN we have GPs involved
with medical student teaching. We are
keen to expand our medical student teaching provision. If you would like to
consider one session a week dedicated to medical student teaching please state
this in your application along with relevant experience in medical education
and leadership.
We are a friendly, dedicated practice with a
determination to provide high quality clinical care for our patients. We are looking to expand our team, and we are
interested in forward-thinking, team-orientated candidates.
Main duties of the job
Maximise
the effective use of current clinical computer systems. Record clear and
contemporaneous consultation notes to an agreed standard.
Compile and
issue computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding handwritten
prescriptions whenever possible).
To take
part in areas including clinical auditing and data collection.
Contribute to QOF & IIF
requirements and recording data appropriately
Attend team meetings and other clinical meetings as
necessary.
In general,
the post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and
responsibilities associated with a GP working with primary care, as set by
Royal College of General Practitioners, General Medical Council, all other
Royal Colleges and Councils applicable to the staff within the Practice,
Department of Health, ICB, CQC, and all other regulatory and standard
setting organisations.

- Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners.
- Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Hold appropriate medical indemnity insurance covering all professional duties.
- Successfully complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Possess a valid digital badge for secure system access and patient care delivery.
- Be willing to engage in ongoing professional development as required
