About us
Caythorpe & Ancaster Medical Practice is a two-site rural training and dispensing practice in South West Lincolnshire, near the Nottinghamshire border, serving around 10,200 patients. We were rated Good at our last CQC inspection.
We are a forward-thinking practice with strong links to our local Federation and PCN. We operate an acute and routine appointment system supported by askmyGP and use TPP SystmOne. Routine appointments are 15 minutes, allowing more time with patients, and dedicated slots are set aside for follow-up work. One GP undertakes weekly care home rounds and most home visits. Home visits are included within normal appointment numbers, not added at lunchtime. We are admin light, supported by an excellent workflow team and AI-assisted letter processing.
Our experienced clinical team includes 3 GP Partners, 7 salaried GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, Paramedic Practitioner, Care Coordinators and a strong nursing team, alongside Musculoskeletal and Mental Health Practitioners. As a training practice, we support GP Registrars from the Lincoln scheme and host medical students from Lincoln Medical School.
We also have effective Medicines Management, Reception, Administration and Dispensary teams. Our GP team reflects a mix of ages, genders and personalities, creating a supportive culture. We treat patients and staff with dignity, respect and honesty in a safe, accessible environment, and regularly receive excellent feedback from trainees, students and locums.
