Job summary

This position will require the successful candidate to work the required contracted hours during the core hours of business 8.30am -18.30 pm.

Please note the essential criteria.

Provide administrative support to all members of the admin team. To Include Workflow, Read code, Secretarial and Medical Reports.

Ability to cover admin during times of annual/sickness leave, where necessary.

Provide support to the reception team at busy times if requested by the Practice manager/PA responding to daily demand.

Main duties of the job

  • Document scanning and screening.
  • workflow to GPs including Read coding.
  • Secretarial duties to include referrals using ERS,Cthe signs.
  • Medical reports,SARs
  • Practice emails, checking and responding.
  • S1 Tasks
  • Undertake any other additional duties requested by the GP Partners or Practice Manager.

Andaman Surgery provides care for 6500 patients, each requiring varying levels of administrative support. The admin dept plays a vital role in ensuring that accurate records and codes are applied to patients medical records. This helps to ensure standards of care are consistently met.

Primary Care Core Hours are Monday -Friday 8:30am- 18:30

REPORTS TO: Admin Lead

Job description

Provide administrative support to all members of the practice team, in particular Workflow and Read coding, referrals using ERS, and C the signs. Processing medical reports and SARs using IGPR.

There may be times when you are asked to support the reception team.

ADMINISTRATION:

Document scanning

Document screening, workflow to GPs and Data entry including Read Coding

Processing records of deducted patients.

Practice emails, checking and responding on a regular basis.

Audits

Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners or the Practice Manager

It is important that all practice staff are flexible and prepared to adapt and take on additional duties or to relinquish existing duties to maintain the efficient running of the practice.

The practice manager reserves the right to redistribute duties amongst staff from time to time based on business needs and changes to the GP Contract.
