Job summary

Ellergreen Medical Centre is looking to recruit a new Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work at our busy surgery in Norris Green. This new role will enhance our current team.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of the role include :

  • Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced, autonomous clinical skills and a broad, in-depth, theoretical knowledge-base.
  • Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate.
  • Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues.
  • Developing innovative concepts, models, methods and practices, to help deliver improved primary care to our practice population.
  • Advancing patient health and well-being through the use of health promotion, health education, screening and therapeutic communication skills.
  • As an independent prescriber, to prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication, as defined by current legislative framework.
  • As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.

About us

Ellergreen Medical Centre is based in Norris Green, Liverpool with a patient list size of over 13,000 patients. We have 10 GP's, 1 ANP, 5 Practice Nurses and 2 Health Care Assistants, all supported by an experienced administration and management team.
