We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed , and experienced administrator who is an excellent communicator, organised and able to work well under pressure. You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support across the Practice.
- Good communication/customer care skills both written and verbal demonstrating sympathy and compassion.
- Proficient typing skills, showcasing both accuracy and speed.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a confident, reliable and flexible staff member to work with our large administrative team to help with a variety of practice tasks, from answering patients queries, processing documents, preparing and sending letters/referral to patients. You will need to be flexible, work within varies departments when needed and have a can do attitude.
About us
We are a semi rural GP Practice running over two sites (a mile apart). A very supportive team consisting of 7 GP Partners, 5 salaried GPs, 2 retainer GPs and a large nursing team.
Our patient list size in 20,900 and growing due to housing developments.
The successful candidate will work alongside our friendly team to deliver care to patients accessing primary care.

To provide an efficient copy typing and word processing service for GPs and health professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes, memorandums, etc. in an accurate and quality manner.
- To make appointments, bookings and admissions as required.
- To establish and maintain filing and administrative systems so that written or computer information is easily accessible and secure.
- To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.
- To maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate and secure manner
- Maintain postal system for outgoing mail.
- To assist with the gathering of statistics and information
- Maintain 2 week wait list and update with appointment details
- Provide cover in all admin areas as and when needed.
- To provide cover for staff during periods of sickness and annual leave.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the practice.
