Main duties of the job
Job responsibilities:
Well-Women services - cervical cytology, pill
checks, and Depo-Provera injections and assist GPs in the provision of
contraceptive services.
Wound care/ulcer care/Doppler/Dressings/Removal of Sutures/Travel advice and vaccination.
ECGs/Management of Asthma and COPD/Peak Flow Readings/spirometry/Venepuncture/Hypertension Management
Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations
Assisting patients where appropriate who are
being examined by another clinician/Requesting pathology tests,
Assist/Lead on infection control management
Other tasks will include:
Arrange for CSSD to clean and sterilise equipment, maintain and
cleaning equipment used by the nurses and GPs, maintain GP and Nurse's rooms,
stock and rotate items as required.
Chaperoning and assisting patients who are being examined by
another clinician/Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and
treatment rooms.
Maintain stock of waiting room leaflets as instructed by
partners and Practice Manager
Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels/Participation
in administrative systems in the Practice. A duty to advise the
Partners/Practice Manager of potential problems or errors within the range of
assigned tasks.
On occasion, there may be a requirement to undertake home visits
and any other delegated duties appropriate to the post delegated by the
Partners and/or Practice Manager

Gladstone Surgery is based in Chesham, a leafy town in Buckinghamshire with excellent road and train links, low crime levels, and highly regarded schools. The building has ample parking, education rooms, consultation rooms, meeting rooms, seminar rooms, and a library, along with a dentist and pharmacy onsite.
The team is made up of two G.P. partners, a practice manager, a nurse practitioner, a health care assistant, junior doctors, and a full complement of administrative and support staff. Gladstone Surgery has a diverse patient population of 5800 and this is continuing to grow, the practice itself is a training practice involved in junior doctor and medical student education, as well as being involved in the training of independent prescribers.

Job responsibilities:
