Job summary

We are a large forward thinking GP surgery with an exciting new vacancy for a GP

We are looking to expand our team of GPs with an additional 4-6 session GP.

We have a large highly trained multidisciplinary clinical team delivering quality care to our 21,000 patients.

Main duties of the job

  • Diagnose and treat illnesses Assess symptoms, perform physical exams, and diagnose conditions ranging from minor infections to chronic diseases.
  • Provide general medical care Treat patients of all ages for everyday health concerns.
  • Manage chronic conditions Support patients with long-term illnesses like Diabetes, Asthma, and Hypertension.
  • Preventive care & health education Offer vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle advice (diet, exercise, smoking cessation).
  • Prescribe medication Issue prescriptions and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Refer patients to specialists When needed, coordinate care with consultants or hospital services.
  • Maintain patient records Keep accurate and confidential medical histories.

  • Home visits (sometimes) Visit patients who are unable to attend the clinic.
