Job summary

Are you an experienced clinician looking for a change, or a Hospital or Community Nurse who wants to work in General Practice?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated clinician to join our multi-disciplinary General Practice team.

Hours to be discussed and salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualification.

Main duties of the job

Depending on your experience /qualification you will be involved in all aspects of nursing patient care including but not limited to:

  • Minor and complex wound management including leg ulcers
  • ECGs
  • Health Checks
  • Ear Irrigation
  • Travel health advice and vaccinations
  • Childhood immunisations and advice
  • Cervical Screening
  • Supporting patients to manage long term conditions i.e. diabetes, COPD and Asthma

Qualifications

Essential

  • Nursing Role - relevant Nursing diploma or degree and up to date registration with the NMC.

Desirable

  • Specialist Community Nursing Degree or equivalent
  • Diploma in diabetes, asthma or COPD management in primary care

Experience

Essential

  • Nursing Role - relevant Nursing diploma or degree and up to date registration with the NMC.

Desirable

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to use IT.
