We are advertising a dual-role position of Gloucester Health
Access Centre (GHAC) Compliance Administrator and Site Lead of our Matson Lane
Surgery. Matson Lane is a Branch Site of GHAC, is open Mon-Fri and is located
in Matson Lane, Gloucester GL4 6DX. The position will primarily be based out of
Matson Lane with occasional work at GHAC in Quayside House, Gloucester GL1 2TZ.

Salary; Benchmarked against norms in Gloucestershire and then dependent on experience; reinforced by excellent NHS pension. Expected to be £13.50 hour.

Main duties of the job
From the Compliance Administrator perspective we are seeking an individual able to deal with NHS General Practice compliance requirements across GHAC and Matson Lane. This will include dealing with patient information (registrations, records, requests), satisfying NHS information and policy requirements, and helping to ensure Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance.
From the Site Lead perspective, we are seeking an individual to be responsible for the running and management of the Matson Lane site. This will include aspects such as planning and assurance of staff rotas, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the site, and liaising with contractors to deal with any infrastructure issues. Essentially, the first point of call for any onsite issues, and then elevating to the Practice Management team for support as required.

The job is primarily Gloucester-based but you will be required to travel independently between GDOC's services in Gloucestershire to attend meetings etc, hosted by other agencies throughout Gloucestershire.

G DOC LTD is owned by all the GP Practices in Gloucestershire; the Practices are our shareholders.
We operate on a not-for-profit basis: any profits are redistributed into primary care in Gloucestershire.
We are a limited company run by a Board of Directors, most of whom are experienced local GPs.
We run a number of GP practices, as well as some other services for the whole county.
In Gloucester we run 9,500 patients at Gloucester Health Access Centre/Matson Lane (9,500 patients) and Partners in Health (12,400).
In the Forest of Dean, we run two practices, both of which are dispensing: Lydney (7,500 patients), and Blakeney (3,200 patients).

G DOC is running a Covid Medicines Service to help and support the high-risk patients in Gloucestershire.
Over 17,000 primary care appointments each year at Gloucester Health Access Centre for patients who may need to be seen the same day when their own practice is already full, or who do not have a registered GP. GHAC is open 8am8pm, 365 days a year.

- Lead on the patient registration, requests for information (including Subject Access Requests), and medical reports.
- Lead on links to Primary Care Support England, dealing with patient requests, urgent enquiries and patient list validation.
- Compile information reports on compliance status, actions and workplan.
Site Lead.
- Ensuring adherence to GDOC, NHS and CQC requirements, lead on building, infrastructure and equipment management.
- Lead on contractor engagement for all aspects of building and equipment maintenance, repair and cleaning.
- Establish a rota and supporting checklists for site and equipment management and maintenance. Examples include: building infrastructure and grounds checks; security and alarm checks; equipment calibration and testing; oversight of cleaning and waste management; and PAT testing. This is to be done in line with legislative and insurance requirements.
- Responsible for Health and Safety at Matson.
- Support the Practice Manager in resolving significant IT issues: smartcard agent; software and hardware issues. Maintain the asset register for IT equipment for the practice.
- As Site Lead, deal with any day-to-day HR issues and elevate any significant issues to the Practice Manager. Also, report to GDOC regarding any inadequate levels for staff in other departments to cover duties due to attendance/illness on the day so that arrangements can be made for assistance.
