Job summary
Practice
Administrator needed for a friendly GP Surgery with a list size of 13000
patients. The role is
varied and busy and would suit an individual who has previous administrative
experience and is able to prioritise and organise a busy workload, use their
own initiative, communicate across all levels of the Practice, and has
exceptional attention to detail. It is very important that you are a strong
team player and have the flexibility to cover or alter your working days for
staff absence such as annual leave.
Main duties of the job
The practice
administrator will need to work with the current practice team to support patient service functions on site, to ensure smooth patient flows at
reception, phones and back-office.

Main duties:
- Rota to reflect duties on phone, reception desk and back office to support patient services and provide an excellent NHS service.
- Dealing with clinician and patient queries with regards appointments, referrals, investigation results and reports.
- Liaise and support the clinical team with tasks and queries.
- Carry out accurate coding on various GP practice software such as EMIS Web, Docman.
- As part of a team, process workflow of electronic and paper patient communications, documents and letters coming into the Practice.
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post.
- As a team member, work within your competencies and support the admin team flexibly
- To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
- To work in accordance of written protocols
- Any other tasks allocated by managers
