We are a very busy practice covering 2 sites We serve as a crucial part of the community, delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to a large and diverse population. The demand for our services is consistently high, requiring a dynamic, well coordinated team and efficient systems to ensure safe, timely and patient centred care.
We are looking for a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team. As a very busy GP practice, we need a team member who can thrive in a fast paced environment, adapt to change and bring a proactive, positive approach to patient care and team work.
Set hours for this post:
Monday 8am-6.30pm
Tuesday 8am-6.30pm
Wednesday 8am-12pm
Friday 8am-6.30pm
Saturday 9am-12pm
Main duties of the job
The post requires you to be flexible, responding to varying demands and changing circumstances. Communication, team work, motivated hard work ethic and a sense of humour are essential qualities to succeed in this role. Previous experience in a healthcare reception office is desirable, however full training will be given. Please note this is a reception office based role. Flexibility to cover additional hours for holidays and sickness are essential.

Reports to: Workforce Administrator/Management Team
Job Summary:
Receive, assist and direct patients in
accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous,
efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the Practice
team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors,
either in person or via the telephone
Job Responsibilities:
Reception & Administration
- To
have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures
- To
work in accordance with practice policies and protocols
- Receiving
patients consulting with members of Practice team, directing to self
arrival where appropriate.
- Promote
services to patients ie NHS Aapp, online registration, Accurx.
Appointments
- Process
appointment & visit requests for appointments from patients by telephone, online and in
person using the KT Total Triage model.
IT
- Registrations
of new patients
- Process
repeat prescription requests in accordance with Practice guidelines.
Telephone
- Use
headset when receiving or making out going calls in accordance with the
Practices health and safety guidelines.
- Answer
all calls promptly using the practice script.
- Deal
with queries as per the practices protocols.
Other Tasks
- Check
surgeries at the end of the day as per practice protocols.
- Ensure
building security is maintained.
- Take share of making team drinks
- Any
other tasks allocated by the Administration and Management Teams

gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other
