Job summary

Werneth Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised Practice Nurse to join our team.

We are a small, close knit practice which allows us to be dynamic and innovative. We have a list size of 3650 patients and strive to achieve good health outcomes for all our patients.

Main duties of the job

You must be proficient in:

  • Chronic Disease Management / reviews
  • Women's health
  • Child health
  • Basic wound management
  • Childhood immunisations
  • General Immunisations amongst others
  • Travel
  • Cytology
  • Vaccinations

About us

You will be expected to take a leadership role in QOF and Enhanced Service achievement. Good Communication skills are essential with both patients and other team members.

This is a part time role, with weekly hours between 8-16 hours and an immediate start. Experience is highly desirable but newly qualified GP practice nurses who have recently finished their training may be considered.

We will not give consideration to anyone who does not have the qualifications to start immediately (i.e Applicants from Secondary care will not be considered).

Further practice funded opportunities for development (e.g Nurse prescribing course) may also be available.
