Job summary
You understand general practice, and can appreciate the benefits (for both patients and you) of working where personal lists and continuity of care have been embedded for years. You enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team, and would like to join a practice where patients feel we have 'very informative medical professionals 'who are willing to listen' and 'from reception to Doctor, everyone is appreciated for their smiles, patience, and attention'.
(Friends and Family Test feedback Jun-Nov 2025.)
We have 2 roles available:
- From mid-February 2026, a permanent associate GP role, as one of our colleagues goes off to pursue other healthcare adventures
- from mid-March 2026 until October 2026, a maternity locum cover position. This will be a 6 month fixed term contract initially, but opportunities may arise to extend it into a permanent role.
Both roles are for 4 sessions per week. It is likely that the sessional pattern for the fixed-term role will be Tues AM, Wed PM and Fri AM & PM; and for the permanent role will be Mon AM & PM, Wed PM and Thurs AM. Both roles will definitely require a Wed PM session, but there may be some flexibility with the other sessions.
Kindly include a detailed covering letter with your CV to explain why you think you would fit well at Horfield Health Centre and which role(s) you are applying for.
PLEASE NOTE: interviews for the role will take place on 27 & 28.01.2026. Virtual interviews will be an option if required.
