Main duties of the job

Dispensing acute and repeat prescriptions

Updating patients records where appropriate

Dispensing controlled drugs in line with current regulations

Checking colleagues dispensing

Ensuring the dispensary area remains clean and tidy

Maintaining the cold chain and reporting any concerns to management

Handing out prescriptions and collecting charges where appropriate

Processing repeat requests as per surgery protocol

Sorting and endorsing prescriptions

Completing backs of prescriptions

Generating prescriptions when required

Stock Control

Ordering appropriate quantities of goods via the wholesalers' websites

Checking in goods as and when delivered

Returning incorrect goods to the wholesalers

Stocking shelves, fridges and other storage area using rotation method

Removing out of date stock from shelves

Disposal of returned medicine

Dealing with patients on reception and by phone

Carrying out any admin duties including data quality

About us

A Small friendly practice in the heart of Corby with a branch surgery in the village of Weldon. We have a list size of 8567. You will be required to work at both surgeries so the ability to travel between them is essential.
