Job summary

As an Administrator you will be a member of the Administration Team, assisting in the processing of patient correspondence onto the clinical system for all HLMG sites.You will be the main point of contact for enquires regarding patient correspondence from clinical and non-clinical staff.

Main duties of the job

Under the general direction of the Administration Manager, the administrator will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:

Process incoming documents in accordance with HLMG policy.

To open the internal and external mail and scan any patient correspondence onto the clinical system in accordance with HLMG policy.

Identify relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence and code appropriately.

Manage the Email accounts ensuring every Email is actioned appropriately and in a timely manner.

To work flexibly to ensure that tasks are carried out appropriately and efficiently, including a willingness to provide cover for absent colleagues.

Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Adhere to HLMG policies and procedures.

  • Computer literate

  • Experience of working in a GP Practice / NHS Setting
  • Experience of using SystmOne
  • Experience of coding clinical letters

  • GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Medical Terminology Certificate or Clinical Coding
