Salaried GP required in Warley for 6 sessions
per week - attractive remuneration package!
Beechwood Surgery are looking for an experienced or
newly qualified GP to join us.We currently have 13,500+ patients
headed by a strong partnership of four GPs.
Our GPs, patients and practice teams benefit from
innovative tech and workflow management processes. This approach improves
patient access and hugely streamlines administrative tasks, freeing up GPs to
focus on clinical work with the support of highly-trained multi-disciplinary
teams.
With mentorship, support, in-house learning and
development our GPs are encouraged to reach their true potential. Must be
registered with GMC and GP Performers List.

Main duties of the job
First point of contactProvide person-centred, continuous primary care assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages
Clinical dutiesConduct consultations (face-to-face, telephone, home visits), perform examinations, order/interpreting tests, prescribe medications, offer minor surgery, administer immunisations, and provide emergency care .
Care coordinationRefer to specialists, follow up on referrals, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Preventive healthPromote health education, screening, lifestyle advice (diet, exercise, smoking cessation), and manage long-term conditions
Administration & governanceHandle repeat prescriptions, clinical letters, death certificates, QOF targets, audits, attend meetings, and support practice development
Varied consultationsMix of in-surgery, phone, home visits, care homes, and occasional community venues .
Sessional workingGP sessions are generally 4hours each (often 3hrs face-to-face, 1hr admin). Rotational duties may include triage, on-call, teaching, governance
