Bethesda Medical Centre is
looking for a Full Time Practice Nurse working 37 hours a week, to join our friendly
team of 11 GPs, 6 Nurses, 3 HCAs, Nursing Associate and a Phlebotomist.
We are a large
dynamic training Surgery with over 19,500 patients offering high standards of
clinical care and beautiful sea views.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties include:
Giving Immunisations as per the national schedule
Wound Management including Dressings, leg ulcers and suture removal
Cervical Cytology (training given if needed )
Undertaking Chronic Disease Management (training given if needed )
Diabetes Diploma (training given if needed )
Giving Family Planning advice
Performing Ear Irrigation
Liasing with the multi-disciplinary team
Record Data on Patient computerised clinical record (EMIS Web)
Ongoing support/mentorship to Nursing Associates/HCA's/trainees
Undertaking any other duties and training which may be assigned to the Practice Nurse by the Senior Practice Nurse
About us
Bethesda Medical Centre is a large purpose build surgery based on the cliff top in Cliftonville, Kent with a list size of 19,500 patients.
We have a large multidisciplinary team and provide the East Kent Headache Service and an Ophthalmology Service to patients across the area.
Our practice team consists of 11 doctors (4 partners and 6 salaried GPs), an Acute Care Team, a Nursing Team and admin & ancillary staff.
We also have attached staff who are based at the practice or visit, and these include:- Mental Health Nurses, Counsellors, Ultrasonographers and physiotherapists.
