Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee ANP/ACP to join our friendly
and supportive Nurse Practitioner Team. You must have a Current registration with the appropriate professional body. Bachelor (Hons) Degree in a Health Subject at grade 2.2 or equivalent and completed within the past 5 years 3 years post-registration practice and 6 months experience in your current clinical environment.The right candidate will be motivated,
enthusiastic and experienced Clinician who are looking to advance their overall level of practice and obtain a Masters-level academic qualification. This position would be suitable for allied health professionals (ie. practice nurses, paramedics).
You will learn to work effectively
within our Urgent Day Team to undertake patient assessment, diagnosis and
clinical management with the support and supervision of a Training Practice.
Main duties of the job
Working within the ACP Team developing your role in Advanced Practice with protected study time to complete the Advanced Professional Practice Programme (APP)
The programme is designed to
help you to meet the opportunities and challenges involved in working in a dynamic modern healthcare system and to enhance self-awareness of
your own strengths and limitations as a practitioner.
About us
Led by the Partners and a team of managers, we are
clinically well-staffed by 3 GP partners and 3 salaried GPs with just over
21,000 patients. The Partners are supported by clinical and administration teams
including ANP's, GPN's, pharmacists and a home visiting team of nurses/nurse
practitioners and paramedics. The successful candidate would be joining and
expanding our existing team of 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioners

The Practitioner will work autonomously within their
profession scope of practice providing acute care for patients via face to face

and evaluation of care, making necessary and appropriate referrals for
investigations. Other responsibilities include ensuring all clinically
generated administration is completed in a timely manner.

decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills,
for patients within the general practice. They will need to be able to work
collaboratively within the practice team to meet the needs of patients and
support the delivery of policies and procedures.
