Lea Vale Medical group have an exciting opportunity for a Duty
Admin Assistant to join our long standing, friendly team to cover maternity leave. The role will run from 1st October 2025-30th September 2026. The role of the Duty
Admin Assistant will be to support the team by providing the link between the Admin
team in the practice and the patient and clinical team. This is an exciting
role as you'll be joining an established non-clinical team that serves just over 46,000
patients.

The role is part- time:
Monday -Friday
2pm-6:30pm
Main duties of the job
The
post holder will work within the Duty Admin team to provide the Duty Doctor
with support for patients that may not need clinical input. They will liaise
with clinical teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.

of contacts for patients who are requesting letters/reports

To liaise with
Practice Pharmacist on medication queries.

To complete
record reviews for online access.

To complete
access to health records review in order to process Subject Access Request
forms in accordance with GDPR regulation.

To refer patients
to District Nurses where appropriate.

First point of
contact for external contacts such as hospital,
ambulance service, community services and care homes

Communicate with hospitals
and other care providers to follow up on patient progression and pathway.

Liaise with families
who have had a recent bereavement to provide them with clear information about
the processes following their loss.

Efficiently
manage the organisations email inbox by reviewing, prioritising, and
responding to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

We concentrate on improving people's lives while protecting their right to live in safety, free from bullying, harassment, abuse, discrimination, avoidable harm and neglect.
