Job summary

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our innovative and supportive team in the heart of Aldershot. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified GP or a GP with a portfolio career. No duty doctor rota. No home visits. Just quality clinical care and team-based working.

Main duties of the job

  • 14 patient contacts AM / 12 patient contacts PM
  • Mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations
  • Protected admin/CPD time built into session
  • Participate in clinical development, audit and peer learning (if desired)
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care

Job description

Job responsibilities

The post-holder will provide safe, effective, and responsive general medical services to our patient population, managing a varied caseload and working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team. They will deliver care aligned with the GMCs good medical practice standards and participate in the wider development and governance of the practice.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred clinical care across booked and same-day consultations

  • Manage patients with long-term conditions in line with QOF and local pathways

  • Conduct telephone triage as part of the shared rota

  • Prescribe in line with local and national guidelines (generic where possible)

  • Complete documentation, coding, repeat prescribing, referrals, and results in a timely manner

  • Undertake clinical audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

  • Support and supervise clinical learners and junior staff

Governance & Service Development
  • Adhere to practice clinical protocols and participate in significant event audits, complaints handling, and clinical risk reviews

  • Contribute to achieving QOF, enhanced services, and practice development plans

  • Attend and actively contribute to team and clinical meetings

  • Lead or support projects relevant to QOF, ICB, or CQC as appropriate

Collaborative Working

  • Work closely with clinical and non-clinical team members to ensure continuity of care and shared management of the practice workload

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner organisations

  • Champion inclusive and equitable care, promoting patient dignity, safety, and confidentiality
