The role requires excellent IT skills, with attention to
detail to enable the efficient processing of all of the practices incoming
post and patient related documentation such as patient communications, hospital
letters and reports. We would love you to be motivated, organised and a

categorise, route and allocate incoming mail, both paper and electronic
To read,
scan, code and action all documentation coming into the practice in relation to
patients
Ensure
patient records are updated accurately
To
arrange further appointments or tests as required (within the post holders
remit) that are specified from the documentation or requested by the clinician
To
develop a good understanding of QOF and the Enhanced Services provided by the
practice to aid appropriate coding
To
monitor the performance of the communication systems
To monitor
your workload
To report
any significant events that occur in relation to document management and
participate in any associated learning from incidents
To
provide cover to reception areas if required
Provide holiday/sickness cover for the workflow
team
Attend training courses and meetings as required to
ensure you have the skills and information to carry out the role effectively
