Job summary

We are seeking a motivated Primary Care Paramedic to join our Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Primary care setting to deliver high quality, accessible care to our patient population.

The successful candidate will work alongside GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of minor illness conditions.

Part time role, up to 30 hours will be considered.

Main duties of the job

Undertake clinical assessment, diagnosis and management

Conduct face to face and telephone consultations to patients presenting with minor illness

Provide urgent sameday care and triage patients appropriately

Prescribe medication

Maintain accurate clinical records

Ramsbury & Wanborough Surgery is a rural, dispensing GP Surgery based on the Wiltshire/Berkshire border. We are a training practice with an excellent reputation, providing all aspects of primary care to just over 10,000 patients, with an Outstanding CQC rating. The practice uses SystmOne clinical system. We are a friendly team which includes ANPs, Nurses, HCAs, Clinical Pharmacist and a Health & Wellbeing team.

  • Non-medical Independent Prescriber (V300)
  • Experience in assessment and treatment of minor illness
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and time keeping skills

Desirable

  • Experience in a Primary Care Setting
