Job summary
Pioneer is looking for a research
nurse to support recruitment to their academic studies. We are a
clinically excellent - CQC outstanding -practice in North Bristol with
22,000 patients over three sites. We are a sessional practice with the
NIHR West of England RSI (Research Site Initiative) scheme and are a high
recruiting practice despite our small research team (currently a GP and
administrator only, both with limited protected time for research). We
have not employed a research nurse in recent years but recognise how
valuable the right person would be for our team. We will encourage the
successful candidate to be proactive in molding this new role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder would work with Dr
Cary, lead research GP, to facilitate screening, recruitment and follow up of
participants to academic research studies. Previous experience in
research is not necessary.
About us
Pioneer is a 3 site practice rated CQC outstanding, aiming to deliver exemplary medical care which is accessible, responsive and caring.
You will be working closely with a friendly supportive team of Doctors, Practice Nurses, HCAs, Urgent Care Practitioners and Care Coordinators, delivering service to over 22000 patients across our three sites in the north of Bristol.
We are passionate about our extensive programme of research and we support and take pride in training the next generation of clinician practitioners.
We are a supportive training
practice with a strong emphasis on team wellbeing and education. We
run monthly whole team lunch time meetings and for clinicians a
monthly clinical meeting and safety meeting. We acknowledge how
hard it is to keep up with the barrage of ever changing clinical and
administrative information in primary care and to support our staff we email a
fortnightly clinical update and a weekly practice bulletin.
