Job summary

We are looking for a Lead Practice Nurse (or aspiring Lead) and/or Practice Nurse (full or part-time considered).

Cricket Green Medical Practice is a forward-thinking, well established GP surgery in South West London. We provide care for a patient population of close to 12,000, working alongside a multi-skilled team of 40 clinical and administrative staff, supported by four GP partners.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Practice Nurse to join our busy medical surgery in Mitcham, to work alongside a great team of GPs, administrators and receptionists on a part-time, permanent basis.

In this role, you will be working with our highly supportive and skilled team, in very busy surgery, working on long-term conditions management, manage the nursing rota as well as various admin tasks. You will have proven experience of post registration clinical experience in an appropriate clinical setting and the skills, knowledge and ability to deal with a full range of Practice nursing duties.

We are open to applications from candidates of all backgrounds, who can offer excellent patient service skills.

You can expect a very busy day, providing high-quality and responsive nursing services.

You will act as the lead nurse and you can expect a wide range of duties, including but not limited to, child immunisations; phlebotomy; travel risk assessment and vaccine delivery; cervical screening; and carrying out home visits.

About us

The offer:

A salary between £40,000 and £55,000 per annum wte, depending on skills and experience.

Fairly flexible but must be available to work until 20:00 on Tuesdays.

The position is based at the Practice. There is no hybrid or working from home available in this role.

The position is offered on a permanent basis. A probationary period will apply.

The holiday allowance of 5 weeks per full leave year will be pro-rated to your joining date and working hours. The 8 bank holidays are in addition, also on a pro-rated basis.

Eligibility to join the NHS pension scheme.
