Job summary
The Lead Administrator plays a vital role in the efficient functioning of the primary care practice. This position involves overseeing administrative tasks, supporting medical secretarial duties, managing practice claims, handling complaints, and optimising processes.
The Lead Administrator must work independently, demonstrating initiative and leadership to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
Open to part time and full time applicants.
Main duties of the job
- To act as a focal point of communication between the secretarial/Administration team and other members of the primary health care team.
- Oversee the administrative functions of the practice, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Provide leadership and support to administrative staff, as with all members of the wider practice team, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment
- Develop and implement administrative processes to optimise workflow and improve efficiency.

Leckhampton is a GP surgery based in Cheltenham with approx 13,000 patients.
We have a friendly team consisting of administrative and clinical personnel all working together for the good of our patients.
