Job summary

We are looking to recruit a motivated, committed and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our Practice team.

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing care to the whole practice population, working closely with the GPs, ACP's, Pharmacists, Practice Manager and nursing team to deliver the practice working priorities.

If you are self-motivated, reliable, happy to work in a busy GP Practice and want to support your colleagues in delivering a great standard of care we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Clinically, the focus of the role is management of patients with long-term conditions and general nursing interventions for all patients.

It is essential you have knowledge of COPD & Asthma management, Diabetes management, Hypertension, family planning /contraception, cervical cytology, childhood immunisations and vaccines.

Aspull Surgery is a growing practice of 6,000 patients, providing care for the Aspull area. We are a two partner practice, which also consists of a salaried GP, Long term locum, ACP (from next year), nursing team and pharmacist.

We recently moved into a brand new, state of the art building, that enhances both the working environment and patients experience.

We strive to provide high quality care for our patients and good working environment for our staff. We are currently rated as good by CQC, a rating we have consistently achieved for a number of years.
