May Lane Surgery is a busy GP Practice dedicated to
delivering excellent healthcare to our patients. We are looking for a GP
Receptionist to complement our friendly and supportive team. If you are
enthusiastic and have great people and communication skills, we would like to
hear from you.
Competitive pay of £11.50 per hr.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a friendly,
enthusiastic and committed team member with excellent communication/
interpersonal skills.
The role will include answering
phones, navigating patients to the correct service/appointments, manning the front
desk, scanning, prescriptions and other administrative tasks requested by the
GPs.
Experience of working in the NHS
or with SystmOne would be an advantage but is not essential.
We are looking to recruit to cover
around 30hrs per week. This could be a single member of staff or 2 staff
members working 16hrs (for example). We
are flexible on the exact arrangement, though cover on Mondays is required as
part of the overall recruitment process.

surgery serving approximately 10,000 patients.
Our multi-disciplinary team
includes GPs, GP Registrars, Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedic, Practice Nurses,
HCAs, Phlebotomists and a Young Peoples Support Worker. This is all supported
by an extensive team of Receptionists, Secretaries and Administrators.

a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of
general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not
limited to, greeting and directing patients, patient registration, booking
appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and
assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for
patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the
clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external
agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

children listed at the practice and is committed to ensuring safeguarding
practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies
