Job summary
As a Practice Nurse at Meanwood Group Practice, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients. You will work collaboratively with our healthcare providers and support staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care are maintained.
This is a part time, permanent position with a negotiable salary for a 26 hours week (Tuesday 7am -1pm, Thursday and Friday 7.30am - 6pm) to be determined during the recruitment process based on your experience and performance. We are looking for an individual with:
- Excellent all round communication skills
- Fully qualified and experienced General Practice Nurse
- Childhood Immunisations
- Chronic Disease Management
- Care Plans
- Contraceptive Advice/Pill Checks
- Cervical Cytology
- QOF /Enhanced Services and other local and national schemes
- Undertaking Audits
- Knowledge of EMIS Web clinical system, however training can be provided for the right candidate
Special Requirements of the post:
- An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
- Ability to use own judgment, resourcefulness and common sense.
- A commitment to maintain a high professional standard of nursing care and keep up to date with all aspects of nursing care relevant to the post.
- A commitment to ensure all Health and Safety requirements and Infection Control measures are met and to report any problems to the practice manager
- Fulfilling your duty as an employee to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults in line practice policies and local guidance.
- A commitment to the effective use of practice and NHS resources.
- An awareness of own limitations and experience.
- To work only in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct and within the scope of professional practice
- To have a written professional development plan and to maintain an up to date portfolio which meets the requirements of registration with the NMC
- Cooperate with annual appraisal meetings
- Membership of the RCN
About us
Meanwood Group Practice is an ever-expanding practice situated in North Leeds. We provide care for approximately 16,000 patients covering a variety of demographics. We are also an active member of the Central North Leeds Primary Care Network (PCN).
We are a friendly, dynamic and supportive team of 12 Partners, 3 Salaried GP's,1 ACP, 6 practice nurses, 1 HCA and 1 Phlebotomist all supported by our experienced reception and administrative teams. The practice provides specialist services for ENT, Minor Surgery, Gynaecology and Menopause. We are also a well established GP training practice.
