At East Norfolk Medical Practice, we have an opportunity to
join our site support team, working across our surgeries in Great Yarmouth and
Caister. The role is part time, with the successful candidate required to work
at least three days a week. Due to the nature of the role, a 6am start will be
required on some of the working days.

Main duties of the job
To order required stock from our accredited medical
suppliers, achieving value for money and the procurement of high-quality goods
To maintain stock levels at our main store site (Newtown)
and ensure adequate supplies at the satellite sites (Caister, Nelson,
Lighthouse, and Phoenix House) and ensure good stock rotation. Access to your
own vehicle with adequate business insurance is essential for the role
mileage will be reimbursed.
To check the emergency trolleys across all our sites, ensuring
all required equipment is on the trolley and is in date, recording the
information on the log sheets. To replace used or out of date equipment.
Respond to any changes that are required by the Resuscitation team.
To maintain our cervical screening administration in line
with practice protocols, including management of follow up, ceasing and
deferred forms.

Job responsibilities
In effectively fulfilling the role of Site Support, the post
holder will be required to deliver the following responsibilities:

To ensure that every clinical room at each site
has been stocked up, that the items are in date and the room meets the
requirements of infection control.

To maintain stock levels at main store site
(Newtown) and ensure adequate supplies at the satellite sites (Caister, Nelson,
Lighthouse and Phoenix House) and ensure good stock rotation.

To order required stock from accredited medical
supplies companies, achieving value for money.

To order large stock items when required,
ensuring approval from Nurse Manager and Finance Manager before placing order.

Monitor dressings supplies and place weekly
orders from Formeo, liaising with our nursing team on any additional dressings
required for patient management.

Maintain stock levels in clinical fridges
(excluding childhood immunisations), ordering vaccines including flu vaccines
when necessary.

To check the emergency trolleys across all the
sites, ensuring all required equipment is on the trolley and is in date,
recording the information on the log sheets. Replacing any used or out of date
equipment. Respond to any changes that are required by the Resuscitation team.

To maintain high standards of infection control,
reporting any concerns to the infection control lead, changing privacy curtains
every 6 months in accordance with guidance.

Provide visit bags for all clinical staff,
keeping a note of drug expiry dates and providing replacement medication when
necessary. Regular liaison with clinicians.

To run taps in each room for 2 minutes to meet
the requirements for legionella screening. At Newtown perform monthly
temperature checks in line with legionella monitoring.

To check emergency buzzers at all sites,
documenting on accredited forms.

Arrange calibration of all clinical equipment on
an annual basis, including equipment in clinical bags
-

smears and Ceasing and Deferred forms.

To provide cover for our internal post run,
