Job summary
Holgate Primary Care Network (PCN) are looking for a Senior Safeguarding Administrator - Care Coordinator.
We are open to receiving applications for full time or part time hours.
Please note working days will include both a Monday & Friday.
Job summary:
To provide efficient and comprehensive administrative safeguarding support across the Primary Care Network.
The post holder will work closely with the Holgate Primary Care Network (HPCN) Safeguarding Lead.
A requirement to communicate with a wide range of health care professionals and Health, Social Care and Educational providers from internal and external areas developing and forming professional working relationships.
To have effective communication skills both verbal and non-verbal when dealing with highly sensitive and complex information, which maybe in the format of telephone conversations, email correspondence or face to face meetings within the multidisciplinary team.
Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Undertake a variety of Safeguarding administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of practices within the Holgate Primary Care Network (HPCN).
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated agencies.
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilities:
To provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative and secretarial support in all areas associated with safeguarding.
To support admin departments within each practice with Safeguarding processes, organise meetings to support the Safeguarding team to include the administration, preparation and circulation of agendas, minutes and supporting documentation.
Attend meetings to record notes, minutes and action required which may be at any of the practices sites.
Work closely with each practice to ensure safeguarding training compliancy
To work flexibly and responsibly, as an individual and as part of the Safeguarding team to ensure the efficiency of administration and secretarial support, providing cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave/absence to ensure the consistency of the service.
To access the clinical systems (SystmOne); Understanding information and ensure correct process for transit/handling of patient records and handling of sensitive/confidential information.
To provide support with key projects working alongside the Safeguarding Lead. These projects include development and maintenance of a system to ensure policies/procedures are updated, distributed and implemented.
Demonstrate due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Adults and Children.

Holgate PCN serves a population of circa 44,000 patients residing in Middlesbrough.
We work collaboratively with other partners to strengthen and support the delivery of Primary Care services, the PCN consists of 3 core GP practices Borough Road & Nunthorpe Medical Group, Linthorpe Surgery and Village Medical Practice. The PCN is led by a Clinical Director, Dr P Heywood.
We are a forward thinking, innovative PCN and have an ever-growing team of both clinical and non-clinical staff.
