We are delighted to announce that we have a position to join our team as Practice Nurse/ Nurse Associate. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic nurse with chronic disease experience to join our team. The position is available for immediate start. If you have the required Nurse experience we would be happy to receive your application.
Main duties of the job
We look forward to welcoming a proactive, reliable and caring nurse to our team. The successful candidate will form part of our team in providing nursing skills and health promotion to our patients.
We are looking for someone who is able to exercise knowledge and skills in chronic disease management, Ideally someone who has Respiratory and diabetes qualifications/ experience.
About us
Rydings Hall Surgery is a medium
sized practice with around 8,000 patients across a wide area.
Our clinical team includes 5 GP Partners, GP registrars, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacists, Lead Nurse, Health care assistants, Phlebotomist, Podiatrist and allied health professionals working closely together to provide excellent primary care.
We also have a new senior
management team who are are here to drive the success of Rydings Hall Surgery and provide support to the wider team.

Job responsibilities
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
- To work with the wider nursing team in developing and
integrated service for patients
- To manage chronic disease such as diabetes, coronary heart
disease, respiratory conditions
- Carry out cytology screening
- To promote health and participate in seasonal campaigns
- Engage in Nurse/ Practice meetings
- To participate and support the lead nurse with management of infection control within the practice
- To maintain own professional development and nursing revalidation
- To attend study days, courses and other educational events as required by the practice
- Work
collaboratively with the wider clinical team to achieve QOF and enhanced
service targets.
Including nurse duties such as;
- Child/adult immunisations
- Hormone injections
- Cytology
- Wound care assessment and management
- Travel vaccines
- Contraception
- Venepuncture
