Main duties of the job
Position: Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Hours: 16 - 20 hours per week (negotiable)
Days: Monday (fixed), remaining days negotiable

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality clinical care, with a focus on minor illness for all patient groups including the frail elderly, children, those who are vulnerable with mental health challenges and learning disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage same-day presentations including minor illness and acute conditions
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patients independently
- Confidently manage complex patients
- Prescribe safely and in line with current guidance
- Conduct occasional home visits as needed
- Be aware of and support chronic disease management and QOF reviews
- Support supervision and development of students and colleagues
- Participate in audits, CPD, governance, and practice meetings

- Competence in treating minor illness and acute needs alongside long term conditions
- Comfortable managing minor illness in patients with learning disabilities, mental illness, and substance misuse
- Able to perform home visits when needed
- Safe, evidence-based prescribing
Systems & Skills
- Proficient use of GP clinical IT systems, and willing to embrace new systems if required
- Understanding modern access to general practice, requiring flexibility in consultation types to include mainly face to face, but also telephone, e-consult, and video consultation.
- Strong consultation and communication skills
