Jubilee Park Medical Partnership are seeking a Fixed Term 8 session or 2 x 4 session Salaried GP's to join our team for 1 year. Please indicate on your application your preference of session number.
We are a busy and innovative practice with a friendly and supportive team. The Practice is based over two sites, Lowdham Medical Centre and Park House Health and Social Care Centre, and provides care to patients living in Carlton, Gedling, Netherfield, Burton Joyce, Lowdham, and the surrounding villages of Lowdham.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population as a whole, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
About us
We provide care to around 12,200 patients, have 3 partners, 5 salaried GPs and a large support team.
We have a Good CQC rating and are a well organised practice, supported by a fantastic management, nursing and administrative structure.
We utilise SystmOne, Ardens and Accurx to support our practice and patients and are a teaching practice with GP trainees and medical students.
We are part of Synergy Health PCN and work collaboratively with the 2 other surgeries within the PCN to ensure we are all using the PCNs full potential. As a practice we are forward thinking, adaptable and open to change.

The following are the core duties and responsibilities of the Salaried GP.
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Support the wider clinical team as required
- Participating in the practice rota undertaking a variety of duties including but not limited to face to face consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, care home visits
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload including participating in extended hours provision.
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings, MDT, Safeguarding and other meetings as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
- Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
- Support the GP Partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
- Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles, and apply principles of self-care
- Undertake minor surgery as appropriate to competence
- Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times
- Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
- Participate in the review of significant and near miss events applying a structured approach
- Lead by example, being diligent in work undertaken and identifying and proactively managing opportunities for improvements

- Work with the Business and Quality Managers to ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards
