We are part of Suffolk Primary Care, which is a group of 7 GP practices delivering care across Suffolk. We are
seeking a Practice Nurse to join our fabulous team at Debenham Group Practice covering
Debenham, Otley and Grundisburgh Surgeries. We are a friendly, innovative and
exciting GP practice which prides itself on outstanding patient care, excellent
patient access and good systems to support our clinicians.
The vacancy is for between 20 - 25 hours a week;
however, this may be negotiable for the right candidate. Flexibility is crucial
to accommodate training, holidays and occasional sickness.
We use SystmOne and askmyGP to facilitate effective and efficient
ways of working.
You would be working for an organisation focused on developing and
nurturing staff and delivering excellent quality of care to our patients.
The interview panel will consist
of a minimum of 2 people. Shortlisting will be on 1st August with interviews on 7th August.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary

including assessment, advice within the professional competence of the post
holder, screening and treatment. Extra training will be provided for new duties
undertaken. The post holder will work in accordance with NMC Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Provides care directly to
patients without referral via another senior nurse or doctor.
To undertake general nursing
duties within the nursing team, including:
Immunisations/Baby Imms
Cervical smears
Contraception advice and pill
checks
Spirometry
Diabetes with Warwick diploma or
similar
Treatment room
Chronic disease management
particularly respiratory - preferable with a diploma in asthma/COPD.
To work to practice protocols and guidelines
