looking for an enthusiastic person to join our friendly reception team at our
innovative practice. The environment can be challenging and busy but is
rewarding and will suit someone who is versatile, patient, approachable and a
team player. Our receptionists assist with the smooth running of reception,
greet patients and visitors to the Surgery, deal with enquiries on the
telephone and in person and understand the need for strict confidentiality.
Main duties of the job
Duties
Include:
- Receive and make telephone
calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of
detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
- Make appointments and
telephone consultations using EMIS Web clinical system ensuring callers
are directed to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Undertake a variety of
administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice.
- Deal with all general
enquiries, explain Practice procedures to patients.
- Keyholder responsibility
- Ensure surgery is closed
safely at night to include closing of windows and locking up.
- Ensure an effective and
efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors
to the Practice.

- Thurs: 1.00pm-4.00pm (3hrs)
